Week of Giving

At Windermere Whatcom, we believe in giving back to the community we're proud to call home. Through our annual Week of Giving, we come together to raise funds for local charities and organizations making a meaningful difference in Whatcom County, helping strengthen our community and support those who need it most.

The Charities

Blue Skies for Children

Blue Skies for Children formed to raise hope and self-esteem by sponsoring enrichment programs and other essentials for homeless, low-income and foster children in Whatcom and Skagit Counties.

This year, funds will be going towards buying new shoes for kids. Last year we were able to purchase 120 new pairs!

Wild Bird Charity

Wild Bird Charity aims to feed every hungry child in Whatcom County. You can help by making a donation! Here are a few facts about Wild Bird Charity:

Now serving 1,354 kids each week, up from 950 a year ago, a 45% increase Y.O.Y
Partnered with 49 schools now, up from 39 (there are 78 public schools in Whatcom County).
Serving approximately 60% of public-schools.
Food bags per week = 1,354
Wild Bird does not receive any state or federal funds.
Food scarcity is one of the leading causes of behavioral issues in children.

Kicks for Kids

Working with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Whatcom County, we are raising money to serve 44 children and provide them with new shoes. We are aiming for around $75 per child, so any donation helps.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County was founded in 1946 with the mission of “enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

This year, we are raising funds to provide 44 club kids with new shoes.
