It is a big responsibility to select a Real Estate Professional who will work as your trusted adviser, representing you and your financial interests from first meeting through closing, and beyond! I hope you choose me for that role! As a full-time Realtor, my commitment to my clients and their goals is unwavering. Buying and selling real estate is about making wise life decisions. It can be a very exciting time choosing a home to make memories in, or a difficult time in transitioning out of that house. The most rewarding aspect for me is to be along side you, communicating through every step and seeing the joy/relief on your face at the finish line!
I began my Real Estate career immediately after graduating from Washington State University. Yes, I am a Cougar and (win or lose...think football team), I wear crimson & gray proud. With a degree in Communications, a minor in Business and an affinity for teaching, real estate was a perfect fit! The first 6 years of my career began with the largest Appraisal firm in the Northwest Appraising Residential properties. A move to Bellingham and two babies changed my role to 'at-home-mom' until I resurfaced back in the Real Estate industry, 7 years ago, with a different license in hand, a Broker's license. I jumped in with both feet working with a team that closed over 800 sales sides in 5 years, placing us in the #1 sales slot in Whatcom County. The knowledge and experience gained from working with buyers, sellers and the vast number of home-related professionals have been invaluable. The in-the-field educational platform has taught me the paramount importance of being a proactive agent guiding my clients, mastering the process and working toward a seamless transaction in the home journey! Over the last 20 years, I have been in more homes than I can count. Even so, I still get excited to walk through the doors of a new listing looking for the unique characteristics that match my client's needs. The saying 'Find a job you love and you will never work another day again' is what this career means to me.
That said, nothing brings me more joy than raising our daughters Kylie (18) and Kamryn (16) in this majestic community I am proud to call home. The full time spent with them in their young years, instilling family values and providing a solid foundation, was a worthy sacrifice. As a family, we have enjoyed skiing, boating, camping and fishing together and have spent many, many nights and weekends in basketball gyms and on soccer fields statewide supporting their passions. Giving back is good for the soul...everyone's! It's been a pleasure co-chairing the Bellingham High School PTSA this past year, and serving numerous years of Room Mom & PTSA chair positions. Working with the 'Santa Bus' gals whom are dedicated to St. Joe's Hospital fund was a rewarding experience. Next up is helping the Humane Society with our four-legged friends in need. “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” - Maya Angelou
